Send Message is a simple way to allow SharePoint users to send a custom messages directly from a list item to any number of users, and include a link back to the item for reference. The recipients can be prepopulated based on any combination of user and group fields found in the list. Administrators can control who the message appears to come from, including the user initiating the message, a default SharePoint address, a custom admin-defined address, or they can even allow user-defined addresses.
