Steps

The following steps demonstrate how to Add a Web Part to a SharePoint web part page.

Step Action Result
1. Edit the SharePoint Web Page. Enables editing of the SharePoint web page on which you want to add the web part.
2. From within the zone where you want to place your web part, click an Add a Web Part link. Web parts which are available on your site collection become visible.
3. Select the web part from the available Categories (i.e., Bamboo Solutions). The web part is selected (either with a checkmark on SharePoint 2007 or highlighted in later versions of SharePoint).
4. Click the Add button. The Web part is now added to the page and editing is enabled. You also have the option of changing in which zone the web part resides.
